Pleasant Valley Area Activities

Fly Fishing
The Uintah Basin is home to some of the best waters in the West. Avid fishermen will enjoy a day on Rock Creek, the Lake Fork, Yellowstone, Duchesne, or Uintah rivers. These small rivers – all drainages from the High Uintah Mountains, hold a variety of trout including Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brown, Brook, and possibly even a few Grayling and Goldens up high. Fishermen will enjoy relative solitude on these low-pressure waters. Anglers looking for a little bigger water can take a slightly longer drive to Utah’s most famous fisheries, the Green River or Strawberry Reservoir. Each one of these waters holds a large number of trophy trout.

Guiding Fishing
A guided fly fishing adventure with our Six Lakes Guide Service is perfect for all ages and fishing abilities. Our skilled guides will make sure you have a great day of fishing. With all the gear provided, a guided day of fishing is the best way to enjoy the spectacular fishing at Six Lakes or the streams and lakes of the south slope of the Uintah Mountains.

Adventurous groups will want to go backpacking and camping up one of the many forest service maintained trails. A three to four mile hike will reward you with beautiful vistas, pristine mountain lakes and streams, and terrific camping areas. Our favorite areas are the Rock Creek, Yellowstone, Uinta, and the Lake Fork drainages.
